Becoming Catholic
The process one goes through in order to become Catholic is called OCIA which means the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults. Below are common questions asked of us. Please contact us for additional information.
What is OCIA?
OCIA is a process, not so much a program but a journey of faith. It is centered on fostering a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and the Church He founded. The process provides individuals the opportunity to become part of the Catholic Church, and receive the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Eucharist, Reconciliation, and Confirmation. (see another part of this website explains each of those sacraments).

“Come to me, all you who are weary and find life burdensome, and I will refresh you. Take my yoke upon your shoulders and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble of heart. Your souls will find rest, for my yoke is easy and my burden light.” Matthew 11:29-30
